A planter is a decorative vessel in which a plant pot is placed. They “hide” clay pots in pots, which over time lose their attractiveness, becoming covered with salt bloom.
Ceramic pots for indoor often made from ceramics - terracotta, majolica. For the street or cold rooms use frost-resistant ceramic materials - faience or chamotte.
The planters do not have drainage holes traditional for ordinary flowerpots; therefore, plants are practically not planted directly into it, using them only for decorative purposes — some are not inferior to vases in the beauty of the finish.
